Bristol

Bristol is a city and county located 13 miles west of Bath and 120 miles west of London, with an area of 39 sqm. Founded in 1000, by 1020 it was already a trading centre. Under Norman rule, it was home to one of strongest castles in south of England. During 14th century, it was a shipbuilding and manufacturing centre and became one a large town. It flourished during the following centuries but was heavily damaged by bomb raids during World War II. The city is famous for its 12th century cathedral, beautiful buildings, commercial, port as well as being a popular student base for University of Bristol.
