Tribeca

The word Tribeca comes “Triangle below Canal Street.” This area is located in downtown Manhattan, bounded by the streets of Canal, West, Broadway, and either Vesey or Chambers Streets. The area features picturesque cobblestoned streets and 19th century loft buildings. Originally, this was the area for open food markets and artists. Since 1980s, upscale restaurants (a few owned by Robert de Niro), high end shops, multi-million-dollar loft apartments, and cultural institutions have established bases there. One of the famous one is of course the Tribeca Film Festival.
