Hanoi Opera House

Constructed in 1901 and opened in 1911 during French administration, Hanoi Opera House was built using neoclassical architectural style. Modelled from the Palais Garnier in Paris, Hanoi Opera House is considered one of the architectural landmarks of Hanoi. After the French left, it became the scene for many political events. Today, it is the centre for the country’s cultural events such as: dance, ballet, theatre and opera performances.
