This attractive area is located right on the banks of Douro river, and is formed by a network of narrow streets, alleyways and ancient buildings, and leads up to the bustling Ribeira Square. This riverfront promenade gets busy and crowded from the early evening- artists serenade crowds and chefs fire up their grills in their fish restaurants and taverns.
