Table Mountain

Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain overlooking Cape Town and its surrounding coast. It is one of the largest tourist attraction in the city, where many visitors take the cableway to the top, or even hike! Table Mountain is at the northern end of a sandstone mountain range that forms the back of the Cape Peninsula and ends about 50km to the south at Cape Point.

One of the most interesting feature of this mountain is the 3 km length of the level of plateau from side to side, with impressive cliffs at the edges- to the east is Devil’s Peak and to the west is Lion’s Head. The view from the mountain down to the city and the coast is simply stunning.
