Ushuaia Town Centre

Formerly a missionary base, penal colony and Argentina’s naval base, today it is a major tourist centre with bustling streets filled with hotels, restaurants, cafes and shops. It is an international city due to its location as a port for large ships and vessels, as well as being a hub for those who want to continue onto other southern sites. Its location on the Beagle Straits and surrounding mountains provide a beautiful scenery engulfing the city.
