Rossio Square

Also known as Pedro IV Square and located in Pombaline Downtown area, Rossio Square has been one of Lisbon’s main squares since the Middle Ages. It was a popular setting for celebrations and revolts, as well as executions and bullfights. It has also been a popular meeting place for people of Lisbon for centuries, and during the modern days for tourists. Today, the area is busting with restaurants, cafes and shops surrounding the square.
